    Troubleshooting

The short list, from a live beta. Each fix is ordered by how often it's actually the answer.

Sign in with Apple keeps failing

    Check, in order

    1. iPhone signed into iCloud? Settings → your name at the top. No name = sign in there first.
    2. Two-factor on your Apple ID? Apple requires it for Sign in with Apple. Settings → your name → Sign-In & Security.
    3. Screen Time restrictions? Content & Privacy Restrictions can disable Sign in with Apple entirely — Cadeo will tell you if it detects this.
    4. VPN on? Some VPNs block Apple's sign-in servers. Toggle it off for the first sign-in.

Two minutes of Settings fixes nearly every case. Still stuck? Reply to your invite email — a human answers.

    My runs aren't showing up

Cadeo only sees what reaches Apple Health. Apple Watch runs arrive automatically. Garmin (and most other watches) don't write to Apple Health until you turn it on — the 90-second fix. After enabling, open your watch's app so it syncs, then open Cadeo and pull down to refresh.

    Recovery never gets a score

Recovery needs overnight heart data — resting heart rate and HRV from sleep — which only a worn watch or sleep tracker produces. Phone-only running gives Cadeo your runs (plans work fine) but nothing to read overnight, so the card stays honest about it. Garmin runners: heart toggles specifically — check them here. Then wear the watch tonight; the first score starts building from the first synced night.

    My plan looks too small

The plan is sized from demonstrated running — what's actually in Apple Health. If your history lives elsewhere, the engine is being honest about what it can see, not judging you. Fastest fix: if your runs are on Strava, connect it and tap Resync — your plan re-sizes immediately from the imported history, and you'll see "History imported" confirm it.

My plan changed and I don't know why

By design, never silently. Two rhythms: the morning verdict tunes today from overnight data and your check-in, and Monday re-sizes the coming week from what you actually ran. Any other change announces itself on the card it touched — look for lines like "Adapted 3d ago" or "Holding long-run mileage," each with a Why? that expands the reasoning. If you find a change with no explanation attached, that's a bug — reply and tell us, seriously.

Am I on the latest version?

Open TestFlight → Cadeo. If there's an Update button, tap it — beta builds move fast and most fixes ship within a day of being found. Turning on TestFlight's automatic updates keeps you current without thinking about it.
